This is a tutorial on how to add a new key for 2016 Buick Verano using Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus by OBD. In the process, we’ll program a blank Xhorse DS super remote as example.

Step1. Generate Remote
Take out the PCB board of the key. Pop in the battery.
Place the PCB board into the VVDI Key Tool Plus coil.
Remote program >> All brands >> Buick >> Verano >> Verano Electronic 46 315 Long Press The Trunk >> Generate
Generating or copying a super remote will clear the immo data. After generating the remote, you need to regenerate or copy the chip!
Click OK.
The smart key has been successfully generated.
Step2. Read PIN code
Connect the vehicle to VVDI Key Tool Plus.
Immo programming >> All brands >> Buick >> Read PIN code >> Type 1(BCM) >> Start programming >> Read PIN code
For mechanical key, please switch ignition off and remove the key, then insert the key and switch ignition on!
For the smart key, please click start button once.
Confirm VIN.
Password has been read out: 4726.
Step3. Add New Key
Immo programming >> All brands >> Buick >> CHINA >> Verano >> 2015-2016 >> Flip-keys program >> Start programming >> Add a key
Close all doors, turn on the ignition switch.
Please enter 4-digit password: 4726
It’s performing requested operation, please wait…
Please turn off the ignition switch and remove the key.
Open then close the driver door, make sure all appliances are off, click OK.
Please insert the key to be programmed and turn on ignition.
Note: The auxiliary factory key needs to turn on/off ignition twice.
The current key matching competes!
Test the new key, it is able to work perfectly.
