The Xhorse XDTPM1EN XTPMS is a programmable dual-frequency TPMS sensor designed to cover 98% of vehicle models. With a reliable battery life of 4–6 years, it simplifies TPMS replacement through two methods: Copying and Learning. This guide focuses on the Learning method, ideal when the original sensor ID is unavailable.
How to Program Xhorse XTPMS Sensor via Learning?
- Generate Sensor IDs
- Use the Key Tool Max Pro (TPMS function enabled after a free upgrade).
- Select TPMS > Ford Transit (or your vehicle model) and choose the correct year.
- Tap Program > Automatic Creation to generate random sensor IDs.
- The tool supports simultaneous programming of multiple sensors.
- Install the New Sensors
- Mount the programmed sensors on the wheel hub (one per tire).
- Enter Vehicle Learning Mode
- Turn off the ignition, then press and release the brake pedal for 1 second.
- Turn on the ignition and repeat the brake pedal action three times.
- Next, press the brake, turn off the ignition, then turn it on – repeat three times.
- A horn sound and dashboard prompt (e.g., “Calibrate left front wheel”) confirm successful entry.
- Activate & Sync Sensors
- Place the Key Tool Max Pro near each tire and tap Activate.
- Follow the sequence: Left Front > Right Front > Right Rear > Left Rear.
- The vehicle will beep after each successful activation.
- Once all four sensors turn green (with displayed IDs), the dashboard shows “Learning Complete.”
Key Notes for Success
- Time-sensitive steps – delays may cause failure.
- Clear the area – remove other sensors (10m away) to avoid interference.
- Post-activation sync – some models require driving to finalize data.
For a faster method, use Copying if the original sensor ID is known or the vehicle supports OBD communication (covered in our next guide).
