Problem:
Mercedes E250 W212 trying to make a second key. Xhorse vvdi key tool plus is giving error: read failed, position 00.
Tried all possible ways.
Never came across this before.
Usually is straight forward.
What could be the issue?
Answer:
If it is w212 facelift, you cannot do it with key tool plus.
If you can’t read EIS, that is because is FBS4 system. No way to make keys with this system. Only dealer.
No way to check via OBD.
Only with dealership equipment and mercedes account can make key.
