Problem:
It’s a BMW M5 2025. Tried to clone a spare BCP key with vvdi key tool plus and multiprog, with and without an adapter. It’s not reading. Any solution?

The nxp chip is locked up on the latest BCP keys.
Why some BMW BCP keys cant be cloned?
As we know BMW updated its solution after 2025 once key cloning became available on the market, so key cloning is no longer supported.
It depends on whether the key was manufactured after 2025, or the vehicle was purchased after 2025. Check the pcb!
Disassemble key shell, check the key circuit board.
If it has the 295E chip, the key can be cloned.
The 295G chip does not work.
