Problem:
A user reported that Xhorse VVDI KEY TOOL PLUS could not connect to the EIS on a 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The tool displayed:
“Cannot connect to EIS, please check connection. This function only supports CAN wire auto detect. If is K wire process, please use select form system to operate.
Engineer Answer
The EIS in this case is a K-Line type and does not support automatic diagnosis. For a K-Line EIS, the lock generally needs to be disassembled for data reading.
Solution
- Disassemble the EIS lock for data reading.
The K-Line EIS does not support automatic diagnosis.
