The Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus can add a spare key to a 2021 Dodge Promaster. Read the 5-digit security code first, then program every key you want the BCM to keep.
Read the Security Code
Navigate to:
Immo Programming → North American → Dodge → Select by Area → North America → PROMASTER → 2020–2021 → Flip Keys → Start Programming → Password Reading
- Insert an already programmed key and switch the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
- Follow the prompts to cycle the ignition OFF and ON.
- Disconnect the vehicle battery for 1–2 minutes, reconnect it, then continue.
- Key Tool Plusreads the5-digit security code: 14133.
Program the Keys
Select Key Programming.
- Turn the ignition to the RUN position and enter the 5-digit security code.
- Insert the new key into the ignition and complete the learning process.
- When prompted to add another key, select Yes and program the next key in the same way. If you select No, the previously programmed key will be stored, and any keys not programmed during this session will be disabled.
After programming, the tool displays:
- Current key type: Learn flip-key without remote control (RF) in BCM
- Current number of keys stored in the BCM
Check the Result
Confirm that the programmed key starts the engine and that the basic key functions operate normally.
