Problem:
It’s a 2021 Audi Q7 that uses the “Water drop” style MLB key. First time doing one of these style MLB keys. The customer purchased two OEM-solution chip MLB PCBs. Went to collect data on Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool and selecting Collect Original keys -using VVDI keys it kept giving me the message “VVDI key not identified”. He tried about 50 times in different positions, with and without a battery, when he tried with a battery the light would blink as if it’s communicating with the MLB tool but he still got the not identified message.
Solution:
The OEM-solution chip key he bought is not an Xhorse VVDI MLB key. It;s MLB08 from keydiy.
Xhorse is coming out with their own version of the same OEM-solution keys (XSMA4YEN/XSMA8YEN).
