Today we’ll be talking about something unusual at work:
cloning a Bosch ME9.0 ECU from a Volvo S60. An auto electrician we knew contacted us with a request to clone the ECU. The symptoms were as follows: unstable engine operation upon reaching operating temperature. Opening the ECU revealed multiple microcracks and evidence of a botched repair. There’s no point in re-doing the repair, as the donor costs cheap. All work was done without soldering or opening the units, maintaining the seal.
Device used: Xhorse Multi Prog.
Mode: Bench
Working time: 30 minutes.
Below are photos of the process.
