Just cut a spare HON66 blade key for a Honda Jazz – this key profile is used across a bunch of Honda models. Used the Xhorse Key Cutting Machine, the Condor XC-Mini Plus 2, and the process was smooth.
Here’s my quick run-down of the process:
Step 1: Machine Setup
- On the home screen, I navigated to:
- Car key >> Brand/model >> Asia >> Honda>> Jazz
- Selected the HON66 blade profile and opted for the 1.05mm cutting depth. It’s a safe starting point-you can always cut deeper if needed.
Step 2: Clamping & Decoding
- The Condor IImachine prompted M5A clamp tip align, so I used the ‘A’ side clamp.
- I lined up the key’s tip with the 5th mark on the clamp and secured it tightly.
- Hit “Decode Key”, and in seconds, it showed Learn Key Success. The decoded pattern on the screen matched the original key perfectly.
Step 3: Cutting the Blank
- I loaded a blankkey into the clamp, using the same tip position.
- Pressed “Start Cutting” and let the machine run through the first side.
- After a quick brush to remove metal swarf (important for conductivity!), I flipped the key and cut the second side.
Step 4: Final Check & Test
The cuts looked clean and deep enough. The key’s thickness was spot on.
Tested it in the vehicle’s ignition-it turned smoothly and worked perfectly.
The Xhorse Condor II made this job fast and foolproof. It’s a reliable machine for quick and accurate Honda key duplicates.
