Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool Key Data Calculation Failed 32 Solution

Problem 1:

One of our customers tried to add a spare key to Audi Q7 2020 with the Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool. However the tool failed to collect key data.

Error “Key data calculation failed, error code 0”.

Common Issues with Collection Failures

  • VCC1 and VCC2 are reversed.
  • The capacitors were removed incorrectly or not removed.
  • Short circuit in soldering.
  • Data collection requires wireless reading of the key simultaneously; if the key is not positioned correctly, it will not be detected.

Check the above and collect key data again.

Problem 2:

My first time using the MLB tool. Upload took about 10 min, and 3 server fails; server internal error and data verification error.

If had server inter issue, maybe network issue. Have a better wifi than my hotspot and it worked first time.

Report:

After 5th try, it worked.

The Xhorse VVDI MLB Tool error code “Key Data Calculation Failed 32” usually indicates an issue with the data collection process or a problem with the device’s activation and binding. To resolve this, you should first ensure the MLB Tool is properly activated and bound to your account. Then, double-check the wiring and soldering, especially if you’ve recently worked on the device. Finally, try re-collecting the key data, ensuring the key is properly positioned and sensed during the process.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of potential causes and solutions:
1. Activation and Binding Issues:
Device Not Activated: Verify that the MLB Tool is activated and linked to your Xhorse account. You may need to activate it through Immo Programming>>More Function>>Test Function (8)>>Sub test function 58 on your Key Tool Plus, according to VVDIshop.
Incorrect Account: Ensure the account used for login matches the one bound to the MLB Tool.

2. Wiring and Soldering Problems:
Reversed VCC1 and VCC2: Double-check the wiring and ensure VCC1 and VCC2 are correctly connected.
Capacitor Issues: If you’ve worked on the device, ensure the capacitor is correctly installed and not removed.
Short Circuit: Inspect the soldering for any short circuits.

3. Data Collection Problems:
Incorrect Key Positioning: Ensure the key is correctly positioned and sensed during data collection.
Network Issues: If using a network connection, try switching to a different hotspot.
Re-collect Data: If the initial collection fails, try re-collecting the data.

4. Other Potential Issues:
Points Requirement:
Ensure your Xhorse account has sufficient points for data collection.
Device Compatibility:
Verify that the MLB Tool is compatible with your Xhorse device (Key Tool Plus or VVDI2).
