I want to read a 9s12hxz512 MCU and it shows this Xhorse multi prog software, do I have to modify the adapter?

MCU adapter before modification
continuity for the cables to the labels
1: VDD
2: GND Short
3: GND Long
4: VPP
5: VCC
6: DC -PWR
Add these two black wires (GND short and GND long).
