Here comes the user review on generate Xhorse XM38 smart key to a Toyota Highlander 2015:
“Last time I did a Toyota Highlander 2015 with one of these Xhorse xm38s, I tried every option. with two of them the unlock/lock worked, but not the proximity function.
Only had the option for a “dual frequency” key on the wiring ones. I went into the settings and changed frequency 2 and 3 to match frequency 1 (the lower mhz frequency of the two) — the proximity function finally worked after that.
I tried every option in there as listed first but had to modify it. Luckily I came across a thread of someone doing a similar thing on another model. First time I came across this issue, it ended up taking a while to sort it out.
I’m pretty sure it was 314.35/315 mhz and I changed all of them to 314.35 mhz —but don’t quote me on that it was some weeks ago. before trying that I tried every single one of the signal strength settings and that didn’t fix it.
I also had to change the trunk option for it to work the hatch, there are only 2 or 3 options in there for that tho, so that part was easy.”
