Today we have a 2016 Skoda Octavia A7 in our work, the task is to make two additional keys, one as a spare, the other for autostart.
In Skoda Octavia cars, the keys are stored in the dashboard, but since 2013, a new platform has been used on Octavias – MQB and, as a result, new dashboards with closed processors for reading.
To write keys to these cars, you need either online (which the dealer has) and a key that is prepared by VIN for writing to one specific car. This is long and expensive. But there is another way. You need to read the closed processor and work with this data. Namely, prepare a dealer key and put the car into key programming mode.
For these cars, we always make keys using the second way, bypassing the dealer, i.e. right on the spot, here and now, without any waiting and unnecessary overpayments. Separately, I would like to add that we work with dashboards without soldering and other interventions.

So, the order of actions:
1. Dismantle the dashboard.
2. Read the data.
3. Prepare the dealer key.
4. Train all the keys in the car.
